Francine Ward, author of one of my favorite books, Esteemable Acts, wrote, "that it’s an act of self-love to know when it’s time to let go." In other words, if you've been disappointed, self-sabotaging, or even felt wronged in any way by the actions of someone else, instead of holding on to anger, fear, frustration, and other negative feelings from the past, show yourself some love by forgiving yourself, and others and let it go.
Be more compassionate with yourself. Use this season, that’s all about cultivating peace of mind, unconditional love, and new beginnings as an opportunity to nurture yourself, release your worries, and let go of whatever it is that may be holding you back.
"It’s an act of self-love to know when it’s time to let go."
-Francine Ward, Esteemable Acts
Set new goals for yourself; establish new boundaries if necessary, and live in agreement with what you desire to experience and achieve. I put all the emphasis on you, because you are the only person that you have total control over. And letting go is about giving up the need to control anything or anyone outside of your self.
So, if there’s something that you’ve been carrying that’s been weighing you down, or holding you back, then hopefully, you’ll become motivated by the power of self-love to release it and let it go in this new season.
